Why I Created the tm-data Repository

tm-data is an open-source project created to collect, preserve, and share data about Turkmenistan, the Turkmen language, and Turkmen culture.

dayanch

Hello everyone,

I created the tm-data repository because there is not enough accessible and well-organized data about Turkmenistan, the country where I was born.

Why I Created tm-data

My goal is to collect, improve, and openly share data related to Turkmenistan. This project is not limited to geographical information. I also want to create datasets about Turkmen poems, stories, novels, names, colors, cultural elements, and many other subjects.

I want this information to be easy to find and freely available to developers, researchers, writers, students, and anyone interested in Turkmenistan.

An Open-Source Project for Everyone

I hope to expand tm-data over time by creating more repositories and datasets that everyone can freely use, improve, and contribute to.

I believe open-source knowledge should be accessible to everyone and created for the benefit of everyone. By sharing this data publicly, I hope other people will use it in their own projects and help it grow.

Preserving the Turkmen Language

One of the most important reasons behind this project is to increase the amount of reliable Turkmen content available online. I also want to help preserve Turkmen, our native language, so that it is not forgotten or lost over time.

A language remains alive when people continue to speak it, write it, teach it, and make it available to future generations. tm-data is my contribution to that effort.

This Is Only the Beginning

This repository is only the beginning. I hope it will grow into a valuable open-source resource for everyone interested in Turkmenistan, its language, history, literature, and culture.
